INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF LEARNING

Share the magic of education

Rescheduled for August 2020

Tuesday 25th - Wednesday 26th - Thursday 27th

INSPIRED BY THE PEARSON GLOBAL LEARNER SURVEY

The International Festival of Learning is a premium event for education and business leaders and teachers. The movement offers world-class insight through workshops, resources and networking, and is uniquely hosted by West Suffolk College and underpinned by Pearson's Global Learner Survey.

WHAT'S THE MISSION?

WHO IS IT FOR?

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

UNDERPINNED BY THREE ENDURING QUESTIONS

What does world-class leadership look like?

Celebrating some of the best examples of evidence-led practice in education and business leadership

WORLD-CLASS LEADERSHIP

What do expert teachers do?

Practical ideas and solutions - spotlighting the things teachers do to create optimal learning opportunities for all learners.

TEACHING AND LEARNING

How are the best cultures developed and sustained?

Getting to the heart of an organisation - a community - a country - sharing proven ways to embed positive culture for long-term success

CREATING THE CULTURE

MAKING THE MOST OF LEARNING - RECLAIMING EDUCATION

Our overall aim is to uplift, inspire, reclaim and re-invigorate.

Learning has never stopped, but we know that times are changing more rapidly than could have been predicted even one year ago.

Fortunately, the world is perhaps more awake to the future than we know it yet - as highlighted by the findings of Pearson's striking new Global Learner Survey, published in September 2019.

The future will be different from what many might have predicted, but it is also clear that recent events may just served to accelerate what the survey indicates people from all around the world have been thinking for some time!

THE NEED FOR WORLD CLASS LEADERSHIP, IDEAS AND INSIGHT

Now that the festival is going virtual, we'll be drawing from a much smaller pool of speakers for live discussion and practical support - but be reassured that all our contributors will be inputting either through pre-recorded content, panel discussion, resources or direct keynotes.

Please keep an eye on the SPEAKERS page as we consolidate and focus our fantastic contributors as we update on availability.

OUR UK & INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS

West Suffolk College
Pearson

The idea  for the IFL was introduced by a group of school and college leaders in 2015, which has since grown to become a large collaboration of education and business leaders who help steer the development of the festival. Many are representatives on organisation boards, or who have large networks (such as CEOs, Headteacher networks, Research Bodies, Associations and Charities).

As well as our well-embedded regional partner schools, colleges and Trusts who support with content and consultation, We are proud to partner with companies and charities with national and international reach who recognise the power of mutual partnership.
