INSPIRED BY THE PEARSON GLOBAL LEARNER SURVEY
The International Festival of Learning is a premium event for education and business leaders and teachers. The movement offers world-class insight through workshops, resources and networking, and is uniquely hosted by West Suffolk College and underpinned by Pearson's Global Learner Survey.
WHAT'S THE MISSION?
WHO IS IT FOR?
WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
UNDERPINNED BY THREE ENDURING QUESTIONS
How are the best cultures developed and sustained?
Getting to the heart of an organisation - a community - a country - sharing proven ways to embed positive culture for long-term success
CREATING THE CULTURE
MAKING THE MOST OF LEARNING - RECLAIMING EDUCATION
Our overall aim is to uplift, inspire, reclaim and re-invigorate.
Learning has never stopped, but we know that times are changing more rapidly than could have been predicted even one year ago.
Fortunately, the world is perhaps more awake to the future than we know it yet - as highlighted by the findings of Pearson's striking new Global Learner Survey, published in September 2019.
The future will be different from what many might have predicted, but it is also clear that recent events may just served to accelerate what the survey indicates people from all around the world have been thinking for some time!
THE NEED FOR WORLD CLASS LEADERSHIP, IDEAS AND INSIGHT
Now that the festival is going virtual, we'll be drawing from a much smaller pool of speakers for live discussion and practical support - but be reassured that all our contributors will be inputting either through pre-recorded content, panel discussion, resources or direct keynotes.
Please keep an eye on the SPEAKERS page as we consolidate and focus our fantastic contributors as we update on availability.
The emphasis is on content that could be applied across multiple subjects. For example - a session on 'Supporting students with Autism' applies regardless of the subject. However, there will be plenty of individual subjects featured throughout the festival

OUR UK & INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS
The idea for the IFL was introduced by a group of school and college leaders in 2015, which has since grown to become a large collaboration of education and business leaders who help steer the development of the festival. Many are representatives on organisation boards, or who have large networks (such as CEOs, Headteacher networks, Research Bodies, Associations and Charities).
As well as our well-embedded regional partner schools, colleges and Trusts who support with content and consultation, We are proud to partner with companies and charities with national and international reach who recognise the power of mutual partnership.
THE FESTIVAL IN NUMBERS
The flagship event on 3 July 2020 will be one of the largest, most diverse and high-quality networking and collaboration events in the UK education calendar.
We attract speakers from a range of backgrounds and profiles - from schools and association leaders to world-renowned keynote speakers - the festival curates some top-class presenters and panels
The festival draws people from the locality as well as nationally and internationally - so the blend of experiences and perspectives is unique. We hope you'll join the movement and make the most of what it has to offer
There are no boundaries....from the craziest futuristic thinking to the most pragmatic of simple solutions - the festival embraces a wider range of audiences than a traditional conference
