RECLAIMING EDUCATION
Our overall aim is to uplift, inspire, reclaim and re-invigorate. Learning has never stopped, but we know that times are changing more rapidly than could have been predicted even one year ago.
Now that the festival is going virtual, we'll be drawing from a much smaller pool of speakers than normal for live discussion - but be reassured that our on demand channel will provide a platform for much more.
Please keep an eye on the Speakers page as we consolidate and update on availability and programming.
A NEW FESTIVAL WITH A BRIGHT HISTORY
The idea for the IFL was introduced by a group of school and college leaders in 2015 that has since grown into a large collaboration of education and business leaders who help steer the development of the festival. Many are representatives on boards of trustees, or are part of extensive networks.
As well as our partner schools, colleges and trusts, we are proud to partner with companies and charities with national and international reach - who recognise the power of mutual partnership.
We're changing things a bit this year. Rather than producing a live event we're showcasing a highly curated cornucopia of sessions on video, with signposts to further discussion, websites and content to support and motivate educators around the world.
LATEST UPDATES
Festival Registration Is Now Closed
Although the main, live event was postponed until further notice, following many requests for recorded content, we listened and recognised the need to support our registered attendees by recording a selection of sessions - with a view to rolling these out as 'On Demand' content from 26 August onwards. We would also like to apologise that much of this content needed to be recorded 'behind closed doors' rather than through global live streaming in this instance. However, we will be back! And finally, we greatly appreciate the passion for education - and the support received from our contributors and attendees throughout this journey. Thank you!
A FESTIVAL INSPIRED BY THE PEARSON GLOBAL LEARNER SURVEY
The International Festival of Learning On Demand is a FREE premium asynchronous event for anyone connected with or involved with education. The IFL is a movement offering world-class ideas, inspiration and insight in education, underpinned by Pearson's Global Learner Survey The survey was conducted on behalf of Pearson from June 8–14, 2020 by The Harris Poll, a global market research firm based in New York City with over 50 years of history in polling. This 20-minute online survey was completed by 7,038 people aged between 16–70 years old across the globe. Click here to take a look to gain a fascinating insight into seven key trends that the results uncovered.
AN EXCLUSIVE GLOBAL SHOWCASE OF AWARD WINNING DOCUMENTARIES
We held a really successful three day, triple documentary On Demand global live stream - in partnership with KPJR Films, between Tuesday 25 to Friday 28 August. Although the watch window has closed, we urge you to take a look at the film summaries below and click through to KPJR to find out more about streaming for your organisation, or as an individual.
